
Many MROs still verify CPDLC after maintenance by attempting a live network logon. That confirms connectivity at that moment, but it may not verify complete ATN VDL Mode 2 sequence, message exchange, timing, or aircraft response. The ARTS-7000 CPDLC option allows technicians to emulate a VDL Mode 2 ATN ground station from the ramp or hangar. Without relying on external RF network coverage, they can establish a controlled CPDLC connection, exchange uplink and downlink messages through the cockpit interface, observe system behavior, and document the results. This helps technicians isolate aircraft-side issues involving configuration, software, radios, antennas, or communication management before return to service. For MROs, airlines, completion centers, and government operators, the benefit is greater confidence, faster troubleshooting, and less dependence on extra equipment. CPDLC testing is no longer only about connectivity. It’s about complete, repeatable, and documented verification.
