Tool control has been an ongoing issue in the aviation sector and as a long standing supplier to many companies operating in the aerospace industry Lista have responded by developing our RFID Tool Control Cabinet. The fully mobile cabinet features a top mounted touch screen interface that requires each user to log in and can assist them to locate the tools needed recording each transaction, providing traceability if a tool were not returned. Each drawer is equipped with RFID tagged hand tools stored in tool control foam pads. The contents of each pad and drawer no. is logged in the system allowing it to assist users to locate tools by description, part code or visual identification. Once the required tool is selected the transaction is logged and once a task is complete the user can book the tool back in to the cabinet completing the cycle. At any point in the working day an audit can be actioned allowing an operator to identify any missing tools and who they were last issued to.
